I’m thrilled to share my recent fascination with colored dentalium in my work! By popular demand, I am now offering bags of these beautiful dentalium shells.
Please note that each piece may vary slightly in color and size. However, rest assured that every shell has undergone a meticulous three-day process to perfect its appearance and has been hand-sorted to ensure you receive only the finest quality.
Each bag contains shells ranging from 1" to 2 inches in length, with all shells being smooth and ready for your creative projects.
Each bag is sold by the ounce. Includes approximately 48-55 Shells.

When working with dentalium shells, it's crucial to prioritize your safety. Please make sure to wear appropriate safety gear, including a mask and ensure proper ventilation. To reduce dust while shaping the shells, dip the ends in water. DO NOT IMMERSE FULLY or color will fade. Remember, the shell dust can be harmful if inhaled, so take the necessary precautions to keep yourself safe.
Pro-Tip:
Use varnish to seal and brighten each shell. The color will change to a deeper tone.
