This collection series reflects what it feels like to carry strong Indigenous identity while also navigating life in America. It's about learning how to fully exist in both spaces without shrinking any part of who you are. Through this series, every piece is expressed by colliding different mediums and finding balance to be seen fully and authentically within both.
This series of hand-painted roses on dentalium shells was created during a period of mourning following the loss of my grandmother, Rose. What began as a deeply personal way to honor her memory evolved into a larger body of work centered around remembrance, lineage, and the matriarchs who shape our families and identities. Each piece carries the intention of preserving their presence through art—transforming grief, love, and memory into something lasting and beautifully worn.
