These hand-dyed dentalium shells are thoughtfully colored in small batches using our signature 3-day dye process, allowing the pigment to fully penetrate and set for long-lasting wear. Each batch is carefully monitored to ensure rich, even color while honoring the natural beauty and variation of the shells.

Shell sizes range from approximately 1 inch to 1 .5 inches, making them perfect for earrings, statement pieces, contemporary beadwork, and mixed-media designs.

Each bag includes 1 oz of hand-dyed dentalium shells.

For artists who prefer an even more vibrant or sealed finish, shells may be coated with a protective layer. We recommend using a spray varnish such as Duraclear Soft Varnish or Liquitex to enhance color longevity and protect your work over time.
